Since there has been a flourish to try and get this league started once again, Spoony has kindly passed on the buck to me to organise and manage this league.

I am currently working on getting servers organised which will be dedicated to the league, and have already spoken to the providers of the RGCT2 servers, who have agreed to pass on their servers to the league once the RGCT2 has finished.

I have also spoken with Hypnos regarding a TeamSpeak server which will also be dedicated to the league, which is currently used for Lobby Wars. He has also informed me that it is due for renewal, and once it is renewed, he shall have it set up at almost the same time as the servers.

The current plan for the servers is the following:-

Two American servers, one running the point fix modification, and one with out.

Two European servers, one running the point fix modification, and one with out.

Please note that this set up could change at any time, without warning and I shall try my best to keep you all informed regarding the servers and any news relating to them.

I'm hoping that we could officially get the league restarted by the beginning of August, which should give you enough time to organise clans etc. and enough time for me to organise the servers that are required for this league to operate fully.

For just now, you can obviously play clan based games, but sadly they will not count towards any rank at the end of the month due to the league not officially re-opening until August.

If you have any questions regarding any of this, feel free to reply or message me via these forums.

Exciting news indeed.I understood that playing with or without point fix will be based on the clan's choice. What if the clans don't agree on it? They simply do not play? Or does one have priority over the other?

Good news.  Glad to see Spoony ease up a little and allow us to use his league.  Thanks Spoon.  Been playing in Jelly lately and Ren is still fun LOL.
I'll try to get a few clanwars in once the league is restarted, but I've been busy as fluck so I can't say how active I can really be.  I like the pointfix choice rule.
I mistakenly deleted my entire MSN list (it had like 500 Renegaders in it from over the years lol), and I'll probably be playing with mostly bots, so add internalnet@hotmail.com so I can either ask you to bot for me or get games.

@Gozy - I'm tempted to enforce the pointsfix, because I agree that it makes the game more fair, but if neither side can agree, then I recommend you do not play one another, but it's always open to a coin toss

@ BoSNiAN -  I'm considering playing in the league and also doing the administrative duties required, but since it is summer and all, I can't imagine I shall be playing that much. Also, was that a little clan offer in there?

@Tildeth - I'm part of the Save The Trees movement, therefore I can not participate in these "Tree vs Tree" matches!

@Whiskey - Glad to hear you're enjoying Renegade, but what is their not to enjoy?

Yeah if your going to keep rules like 'no harv blocking', you probably should be making pointsfix mandatory.  Field sniping on non-blocked harvesters = gaygame

Well, it really depends on what the people choose. I'm personally hoping that the points fix servers are the most popular and then I can safely declare that the majority do wish to play with the points fix, and then make them all points fix.

My point though about people sniping non-blockable harvesters all game... I see it happening on basically every Field match of a standard server.  So maybe if 2 clans choose to use a standard server, they can make a verbal agreement about being allowed to block harvs as well.  Not enforcable obviously since its against the rules, but effective.

There shouldn't be too many rules to be agreed on. the more you allow this, the more bull**** afterwards (it was allowed, no it wasn't). Choosing a server is an obvious and clear choice .

I don't plan on playing anyone who's going to be pulling bull**** like that.  I'm here to have some fun, playing an old favourite.

So the way the system is right now though, its obviously biased in pointsfix servers favour, since it doesn't make much sence to not be able to block a harv on Field in a standard server, right?  Just put a little thought into it before the system goes live, tis all.  Because if it stays this way, we're obviously going to have to make unofficial agreements before games for standard servers.

This is good news, thanks for letting us get this going again Spoony <3

I'll be making a clan or joining one and playing activly in Augest.. For the rest of this month, i'll only be able to play once a week or so, so if anybody wants to drop me an invite i'd like a clan to play with for the days that I can make it this month.

On the topic of pointsfix and harvblocking;

I don't care anymore, pointsfix isn't that bad.  Honestly makes no difference to me, im not going to argue with anyone about it.  The harv blocking,  I never really thought it should be against the rules.  Should be something you can agree on before hand (i'll always agree with you, its a gay tactic), but renegade should have a few rules as possible imo.  It's a tactic and it works, it might be gay but you can do it on either team.

Karmai says "renegade should have a few rules as possible"
Amen to that.  Have you checked out the rules section lately?  Its insane.

As for pointsfix, lets just keep it mandatory so we can start getting serious.

for the first time ever in the history of clanwars.cc, maps like field and under were fair between nod and gdi. let's be honest about how that happened: the pointsfix, and disallowing harvblock. don't say "both teams can do it" as if that makes things fair between nod and gdi, it absolutely doesn't.

even that 1v1 field tournament was fair between nod and GDI with the recent settings (pointsfix, no harvblock)
